SPARK Lynedoch (primary school) opened in January 2016 - the first of the SPARK schools in the Western Cape, extending SPARK Schools' commitment to accessible, affordable, independent education of the highest quality.
SPARK Schools individualises learning through their blended learning model, which combines teacher-led instruction and computer-based instruction in their Learning Lab.
The school operates as an independent primary school with a special focus on sustainability. The school is enrolling for Grades R - 4 for its first year in 2016, following which the school will grow by a grade each year until it offers Grades R - 7. SPARK Lynedoch scholars benefit from the SPARK Schools academic programme, core values and enrichment opportunities.
SPARK Lynedoch is proud to partner with Community Keepers who provide a range of psychological and social services in order to improve the social and emotional well-being of learners and create supportive school communities where learning and development can prosper. Community Keepers at SPARK Lynedoch is made possible through the generous support of Spier.
Bursaries for local learners to attend SPARK Lynedoch have been facilitated by the Sustainability Institute and have been made possible through the generous support of Remgro, the Cape Winelands Auction Trust and private donors.
